As men and women received their uniforms, many sought out, or were enticed by, photographers who captured their images in service attire. Some wanted to ensure new loves did not forget them while they were overseas. Some wanted to ensure family had a visual remembrance if they did not return.
Through a small selection of portraits of those who served in the First World War, capture a glimpse of the love, pride, strength, friendship, and occasional humour of men and women from Medicine Hat who served.
