Community Oral History Workshop

May 12, 2017

If you are interested in creating an oral history project in your community or for your family then this community workshop is for you!

The University of Lethbridge’s Centre for Oral History and Tradition in partnership with the Galt Museum & Archives is offering several practical, hands-on workshops to instruct participants in the practice, ethics, and logistics of oral history interviewing. The workshop leaders are university scholars and museum archivists with professional and scholarly experience in oral history-based research.

Registration includes a full day of lectures (lunch & break refreshments included), a workshop package including a booklet with guiding principles and helpful instructional information including links to other resources.

This is an intermediate workshop and will focus on analyzing oral history interviews, ethical conduct in human subject research, First Nations oral history and funding community projects.
