PD Days (Ages 5-11): Full days from 9:00am–4:00pm (drop off begins at 8:30 am and pick up ends at 4:30 pm)
We are offering PD Day programming in partnership with TREX (AFA Travelling Exhibition Program). This fun filled day will include art and science exploration in the Esplanade Discovery Centre, viewing a newly released popular movie (G rating), and exploring a part of the Esplanade (for example, a behind the scenes tour of the theatre, a tour of the Heritage or Art Galleries, or a visit to the Archives or Museum). Weather permitting, we will take a short walk to the TREX Art Gallery and explore the exhibition they have onsite. While there, using the exhibition for inspiration, they will create their own works of art. Many forms of discovery and learning will happen during their day at the Esplanade. Both drop-off and pick-up will take place at the Esplanade’s Discovery Centre. Each PD day will have unique content so students may enjoy coming back more than once!

The fee is $55 and includes all materials. Some materials used in the classroom could stain clothing. Students should wear old clothes or bring an apron or paint shirt. Bring proper outdoor clothing (boots, toques, mitts etc) as we may be going on short walks, for example, to the TREX Art Gallery, weather permitting).
Health precautions, as directed by AHS, have been implemented into this programming by limiting enrollment, ensuring social distancing is enacted, hand sanitizing will be available and used, and masks will be worn when necessary.
