Giving Hunger a Voice
December 12, 2018
Expect an evening of contemporary and signature Christmas music along with stories creatively crafted by Tom Jackson and his ensemble of musicians. This performance will be one of 16 traveling to 15 cities raising funds for local food banks and family service agencies. Many remark that it’s the perfect way to begin their Christmas season and get into the spirit of the holidays.
“If you told me in 1987 that I’d be committing to a lifetime of producing Christmas shows across Canada, I would have been overwhelmed and may not have even started. I am so blessed to have spent over 30 years on the road sharing music, meeting those we serve, embracing the caregivers, celebrating community leaders and working with corporate investors who are committed to changing the quality of life in their own backyard.”
Tom Jackson, founder of The Huron Carole Benefit Concert Series, is a musician, beloved TV personality (North of 60, Star Trek, Law and Order), and long-time champion for the marginalized. Having experienced life on the streets himself, he discovered music was a way to help others. They ask that concert goers bring a donation for their local food bank.
