Join Brenda Mercer as she guides you through the Kairos Blanket Exercise. This meaningful learning experience explores the nation-to-nation relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada.

About the Host

Brenda Mercer is an Indigenous artist-storyteller who has been sharing her knowledge for over a decade with communities situated on the traditional lands of the Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, Stoney-Nakoda, and Tsuut’inaas well as the Cree, Sioux, and the Saulteaux bands of the Ojibwa peoples, and homelands of the Metis Nation within region III. The Kairos Blanket exercise is an important tool in the journey for Truth and Reconciliation. Aspects of the difficult history recounted throughout the exercise may trigger strong emotions in participants.
