Dining in the Dark: A Taste of Ancient Rome

Feast like a Roman at this one-of-a-kind dining experience that blends history, culture, and cuisine. Inspired by the grandeur and flavours of Ancient Rome, embark on a sensory journey that travels through time.

Your evening begins with a cocktail in the gallery where you will explore Have Spatula – Will Travel, an exhibition that highlights the power of food in bringing people together and telling stories across generations. Get hands on with ancient ingredients as you prepare for a meal steeped in ancient traditions.

Then, the real adventure begins. Blindfolded, you’ll be guided to the Studio Theatre, where the room descends into complete darkness. Here, you’ll savor a three-course mystery meal inspired by recipes from history’s oldest Roman cookbook. Experience the flavors and ingredients once beloved by Ancient Romans, rediscovered through the lens of contemporary cooking.

The darkness removes distractions, heightens your senses, and sparks lively connections with fellow diners. Conversations flow as you uncover the ancient secrets hidden in each bite, rediscovering the timeless joy of sharing food.
