The Esplanade presents an exhibition of large-scale oil on canvas portraiture of change-making, trail-blazing, life-saving women. A tribute like this has never before been seen! Portraits include the award winning musician Serena Ryder, a breast cancer survivor changing the way we look at scars, an Olympic gold medalist, a 65 year young model breaking new ground in the industry, the courageous Dr. Blasey Ford & Anita Hill, a celebrated New York/Paris designer, Gloria Steinem, Buffy Sainte Marie, and so many more.

TIME Magazine cover artist Shana Wilson (Edmonton, AB) has partnered with the successful and empowering social platform and publication For Women Who Roar, to create this series of portraits.  Shana has painted inspirational women from all walks of life, inclusive of all cultures and orientations, to be exhibited at galleries in major cities.  The subjects all have one thing in common; the ability to inspire and create social change.

Artist Bio:
Shana holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (1988) from the University of Alberta and a Certification in Trans-National Business from the University of Hawaii.  Based in Edmonton, Canada, she has enjoyed a lengthy career in the advertising, software and retail industries, including owning the Canadian rights to the luxury Italian handbag brand Mandarina Duck.  A working portrait artist over the last 20 years with gallery representation in California, Shana was also the Executive Producer and Producer of “Diablo” starring Scott Eastwood, Walton Goggins and Danny Glover, which she sold to eOne Entertainment and is now in International distribution.
